Frontier Foundation releases half-yearly performance report

3889 blood bags collected in blood camps, 3929 bags provided to patients

40 cases of Hepatitis B and C, 5 cases of Gonorrhea and one case of AIDS were detected during blood screening

Frontier Foundation has released its half-yearly report. In this regard, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Frontier Foundation Chairman Sahibzada Muhammad Haleem, in which Administrator Dr. Fakhar Zaman briefed the meeting and said that during the first 6 months of this year, 3889 blood bags were collected in blood donation camps organized for patients suffering from thalassemia, hemophilia and other blood diseases, while 3929 blood bags were issued, out of which 2230 bags were provided to registered thalassemia patients and 1543 bags were provided to government and private hospitals. The blood donated during the blood camps In the screening, 40 cases of hepatitis, one case of AIDS and five cases of gonorrhea were reported. The meeting expressed satisfaction with the performance report and reiterated the commitment to further improve the facilities provided to children suffering from blood diseases.
