Frontier Foundation was established as a charitable organization in 2003 in Peshawar. The major aim of establishing this organization was to provide free of charge Blood and Blood components to the patients suffering from various chronic blood disorders requiring blood / blood components therapy as n essential part of their treatment. With the passage of time, the organization has grown in stature to ‘Provincial” level with the opening of treatment centers in Kohat and Swat in addition to Peshawar center which also serves as its Head Office. Frontier Foundation is the largest hematological services provider in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which is providing free of charge treatment to poor and needy patients. Frontier Foundation has the unique distinction to encourage voluntary blood donation and discourage the professional donors. It has been collecting and distributing 20,000 pints of blood components annually from healthy voluntary donors. Frontier Foundation provides healthy safe and screened blood and blood products to more than 3500 registered patients and other patients requiring blood in emergency admitted in Govt: and private hospitals of KP. Frontier Foundation centers are equipped with the latest blood screening state-of-the art equipment’s being operated with high quality blood screening kits. Frontier Foundation is amongst the pioneers of voluntary blood transfusion services in Pakistan.
